Dream big, wild one, and let's have some dreamcatcher fun! Legend says that dreamcatchers will trap bad dreams, so I say the more you have, the merrier! We made these DIY hexagon dreamcatchers in an afternoon, and are by far my fave craft of the summer.
Our theme for this year's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Rock Star Camp was "Kidchella Bella", and it seemed only appropriate that all our crafts had a little nod to the boho chic style.
Coincidentally, my bestie and her family purchased a new home and her daughter, Blair, is growing up *sigh* and wanted help decorating her new bedroom and I readily agreed!
We spent the afternoon in our new studio space (full reveal coming soon!) crafting and giggling. Blair is so sweet and loves a good DIY, and even came up with a few tips and tricks herself, like using Q-tips to hold the beads still while we painted them so our fingers didn't get paint on them!
The colors we chose are the jumping off point for Blair's new bedroom, and are also faves of mine. And the color combinations for each dreamcatcher you make are endless!
The yarn tassels, poms and feathers were perfect finishing touches, and we are thrilled with the way they turned out!
To see the full step-by-step for these DIY hexagon dreamcatchers, hop over to the Crafts Unleashed blog and check them out. They're easy peasy and fun for little hands to create!
Special thanks to my fave little spunky redhead for spending the day with me!
