Sparkly Watercolor Bridal Shower

April 11, 2018

The face of the at-home party sure has changed thanks to the help of Pinterest and the world wide web, and the new lines of gorgeous products offered by Oriental Trading sure make it easy to throw beautiful get-togethers and soirees like this Watercolor Bridal Shower!

Disclosure: As a member of the Oriental Trading Fun Squad, I received compensation and/or products in exchange for my styling and crafting services. As always, all opinions are my own.

Tasked with creating "1 Party 3 Ways", I used the same line of party-ware (plates and napkins) and showed how they could seamlessly be incorporated into three different themes. Besides the Bridal Shower, I also created a sprinkle covered Tween Party and a Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Baby Shower. I love the idea of being able to use the same products in new and unexpected ways!

I decided to use a low table with big fluffy white pillows to lend a glamorous boho chic feel to the bridal shower.

Mixing metals isn't something I would have normally done in the past, but I'm loving this new trend and will be doing so in the future as well with reckless abandon!

Intimate bridal showers don't necessitate over-the-top decorations, so I chose a pastel watercolor palette and let the simple, yet stunning, hoop wreath speak for itself. If you follow us on Instagram you know I have a big love for pretty balloons!

I had a small bridal shower before I got married (holy moly almost 14 years ago!!) and the decorations were kept somewhat simple for it as well. I remember just feeling special because the girls I adored most surrounded me that day! We chatted and had cocktails and yummy snacks. Thankfully for my friends I was way less into the planning details back then, or I might have tried to take over my own shower!

What about you? Did you have a large bridal party with a big fancy shower? Would love to know what the theme was! Hop over to Oriental Trading to see the full Watercolor Bridal Shower!
