Although I'm typically a color-loving gal, I couldn't be more smitten with this Modern Black and White Farmhouse Christmas party we styled for the Oriental Trading's Fun365 site. The simplicity of the black, white and gold color palette was so soothing and a welcome change to the otherwise busy and "extra" the holidays can sometimes bring. What I think I like best part about this party is that it isn't overly Christmasy, and can easily be transformed into a New Year's Eve party by swapping out a few simple things! I'm all about the double-duty, especially over the holidays when I typically feel like I'm being tugged this way and that!
Disclosure: As a member of the Oriental Trading Fun Squad, I received compensation and/or products in exchange for my styling and crafting services. As always, all opinions are my own.
A driving force of this party was the bold black and white striped ribbon. It was used as a table runner, an embellishment for the DIY Boxwood Wreath Chair Backers and DIY Marbled Ornaments, as well as giving boring flatware a little bit of fancy.
Finding the large branch at my local branch was a total score, and provided the perfect backdrop for the dessert table. Paper fans and marbled ornaments hung nicely and didn't look overly fussy for the otherwise clean look and feel of the party.
