Once Upon A Time...

June 27, 2016

...in a land not so far away, lived a group of sweet little princesses who loved to make pretty things, dance, sing and laugh the days away with their friends!

Oh my heart! I cannot believe our first week of summer camp has already come and gone! We had so much fun with the littles that attended, that not a second of it felt like work...easy to say when you love what you do I suppose!

Our overall theme for the week was Snow White, which was also the theme for our Monday activities.

We snacked on all things apple-esque... apple slices with caramel dip, mini apple pies, cupcakes decorated as apples, apple marshmallows, and red and green popcorn from our fave downtown sweets spot Mom & Popcorn!

Mirror, mirror, on the wall... Can you get over the cuteness of these mirrors found at our local Dollar Tree?! Actually, at 5 of our local Dollar Tree stores, but who's counting? ;) We prettied them up with lots of little jewels.

Tuesday was all about the tiniest of princesses...fairies! We made flower crowns, butterfly mosiacs and painted little fairy houses.

We let down our hair on Wednesday for some Rapunzel fun. These little lanterns from Oriental Trading made for a fun painting activity.

And every princess needs a safe place to keep her royal jewelry!

The little princesses loved the "Rapunzel Let Down Your Hair" game we played! We divided the girls into four teams, and each had a loooooooong strand of yellow tissue paper to act as Rapunzel's hair; the first to wrap the entire strand around "Rapunzel" won. Of course, we had to play several rounds before they tired of the game - as you can imagine, lots of giggles ensued!

Our final day was spent putting the finishing touches on our jewelry boxes...

...and adding jewels to our Unicorn headbands. We followed a mix of JenTbyDesign's and Tikkido's tutorials and I think they turned out pretty darn cute if I do say so myself! Of course, we had the cutest little models so that didn't hurt!

Thank you to all the silly princesses who spent the week with us! We hope you live the rest of your summer happily ever after! xo...
