Emeraldalicious Girls' Night Out!

March 21, 2016

How do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day? At Sugar & Spice we like to celebrate all things green with glitter, jewels, mini-makeovers and fashion shows. This year's Emeraldalicious GNO was made fun by these cuties you see here...

...and not a single one of them is wearing GREEN! Goodness gracious how did that happen?! We do have green dresses and accessories, but they were just not interested. #ohwell #wetried #wegettopinchthemall

After a dinner of cheese pizza (our personal fave), we devoured yummy Lucky Charms Treats and cupcakes.

Everything looks better with a gold glitter shamrock on top. #justsayin

The mouth-watering popcorn was a treat we saved for later in the evening when we watched a movie.

Can we just talk about the cuteness of the rainbow piñata for a second? I'm pretty much obsessed with mini piñatas right now - they're definitely having a moment. I picked this little guy up at Target and to weigh him down I glued him onto a piece of wood that I painted light blue to mimic the sky, and added some poly-fil to act as clouds. Pretty happy with the result if I do say so myself!

I left our table decor somewhat simple since we had so much gold loveliness going on. Little green buckets filled with baby's breath was all that was needed to add a little pop.

For party favors, we added Skittles to little cello bags, tied them up with a pretty ruffled pink ribbon and adorable tag that said "You shamROCK". They were a nice little addition to each place setting.

Here's a view of both our crafts table and our dining table. I changed up the decor on our crafts table just a bit for a little whimsy.

One of our crafts was to add jewels to mini leprechaun hats - aren't they the cutest? The rainbow colored jewels really jazzed them up!

We also decorated Emeraldalicious wands with our rainbow jewels. If you haven't read the book, it's a cute story about Pinkalicious and her brother going to their favorite park, only to find it covered in stinky trash. She makes a magic wand, then makes a wish and amazing things happen.

Our dessert table backdrop also doubled as our photo backdrop for the night. How cute are these fancy gals?

So much sass in this picture...

Before our fashion show we had a massive sing-along...think super loud, at the top of their lungs, givin' it all they've got. And in case you couldn't hear it through the screen, they're singing... "Let It Go". Yep - the song that will never go away! ;)

We rounded out the night with a movie and popcorn and of course I had to get a quick pic of my sweet hostesses who were absolute rock stars throughout the night! #lovethem

Only 2 more GNOs until we break for summer funnin'!
