Made of Sugar and Spice is a place for girls to celebrate their birthdays in a fun and fabulous way, while being
virtually hassle-free for parents. We live by the motto YOU bring the cake and WE do the rest. We are not a franchise
and are proud to celebrate only one birthday at a time, offering the flexibility and personal attention necessary to
make each soiree exceptionally yours.
Made of Sugar and Spice aims to deliver a spectacular party that is all about celebrating the spirit and moxie that
comes with being a girl. Hair, make-up, glitter, feathers, fluff, glitz, glam, and a healthy dose of bobby pins help
express our outward appearance, but the deeper message is about respecting ourselves and realizing our inner
beauty. By providing an atmosphere where girls are encouraged to use their imagination, strengthen relationships
with each other, and most importantly have FUN, we are empowering girls to make good choices while improving
self esteem and living life to its fullest.
Annaliese Johnson is the owner of Made of Sugar and Spice. She is a fireman's wife, boy mom, an organize-aholic, land-locked beach lover, glue gun wielding craft junky with a sweet tooth. She loves color, unicorns, hosting parties, is a home design show addict, lives by the motto “I could spray paint that”, and is always looking for her next project. She started out in the corporate world, however never felt content being confined to her little cubicle in the corner. She yearned for an atmosphere that catered to her neat-nick abilities and fostered her creative nature. After several years of planning baby showers, birthday parties and get-togethers for friends and family, she is ecstatic to have a party boutique to call her own. Her work has been featured on Kara’s Party Ideas, Catch My Party, Pop Sugar Moms, Project Nursery, Bird’s Party Magazine and Everyday Party Magazine. Her love of color, pretty girly things, glitter, and creativity help transform every day occasions into the best day ever. When she’s not crafting or planning parties, you can find her spending time with her firefighter husband, son and three dogs.
